There have been a number of accidents on South Coast roads this week.
Six people sustained minor injuries in a collision between two minibus taxis at the Margate Taxi rank on Monday.
In another incident, no injuries were reported at a collision between three light motor vehicles on the R61, Mpenjati.
Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious pedestrian vehicle collision on the P197-3 in Umgababa.
Reports from the scene indicate that a seven-year-old male patient was struck down by a minibus taxi.
The patient sustained serious injuries and required the specialised treatment of an Emergency Care Practitioner.
Once stabilised, the patient was transported to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate.
Meanwhile, no injuries were reported when the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control after hitting a water patch on the N2 near Umzinto.
