STATEMENT BY NSRI ROCKY BAY STATION COMMANDER KEVIN FOURIE:

No injuries were sustained on Sunday afternoon when a semi rigid inflatable recreational fishing boat with four men onboard capsized at the backline offshore at Umkomaas River Mouth. It appears that the boat was returning to shore at the time.

Police Search and Rescue, lifeguards, emergency services and NSRI Rocky Bay attended at the scene.

The four crew were able to get safely to shore and private boats towed the casualty boat to shore where it was righted and recovered.
