Port Shepstone Lions serve with pride

Port Shepstone Lions and Lion Ladies once again provided free diabetes tests to the public at Harbourview Superspar in Port Shepstone on Saturday.

They also ran a food collection for needy children and marketed their annual Lions Christmas Cakes fundraiser.

Over 60 people were tested, almost three shopping trolleys full of groceries and several cash donations were collected from the generous public – all in the space of three hours.

Afterwards, the groceries were sorted, packed and delivered to the Hibiscus Food For Life Feeding Scheme for children.

All proceeds raised will go towards the club’s service projects. Anyone interested in purchasing a Christmas Cake is welcome to contact Lion Alastair Warman on 083 459 3364.
