First-class cricket will come to the South Coast for the first time ever when the Hollywoodbets Dolphins take on the VBK Knights on back-to-back days of blockbuster action at Port Shepstone Country Club on 4-5 September.

Following another first, a T20 exhibition game against a Southern Natal Cricket Union Invitational XI in June, the Dolphins will return to the venue for a historic 50-over pre-season match against the Knights at 10am on Tuesday, 4 September.

The Durban franchise will meet the men from Bloemfontein in a T20 clash the following day at 2pm, allowing school learners to watch their heroes in action, before the stars of both teams tee it up with locals in a golf day on Thursday, 6 September.

The fixtures form part of the KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union’s strategy to intensively introduce the Dolphins franchise to other parts of the province.

Funds raised over the three days will go towards upgrading the cricket facilities at the club.

To book a round of golf with a player, contact the Port Shepstone Country Club Pro Shop on 039 695 0140.
