Dezzi South Coast Raceway is fast becoming a favourite on the SupaDrift Series circuit, so much so that 26–27 May marks the first of two stops the world-class track will host this year.
As the second race of the season rolls closer, drivers will be looking to fine-tune their smoke-churning sideways drifting and get their suped-up cars race-ready in order to cement their positions in the series.
The up-down Dezzi South Coast Raceway rollercoaster circuit layout spells for many challenging corners and moreover the ‘drift’ techniques and skills will be pushed to the limit.
Current series and championship leader, Shane Gutzeit, will be attuning his sideways antics to a home ground advantage but threat is eminent on the drift horizon with other local drivers like Gavin, Brendan and Trevor Puren and ‘out-of-town’ hopefuls are making their way to the South Coast to dethrone and unsettle the standings.
The high entry speeds witnessed at the first round of the 2017 season will certainly have the public on high alert.
Luckily, if you can’t make it to the event – for live tweet updates stay tuned to @sadrift or you will also be able to stream the event LIVE via http://www.supadrift.co.za/watch-live.html.
Tickets will be available at the door at R100 for adults and R50 for children.
eHowzit is giving away two sets of double tickets.
The competition closes on Wednesday 24 May and the winners will be announced the next morning.
