STATEMENT: RNM TENDERS UNCONDITIONAL APOLOGY FOR INTERRUPTED SERVICES AT AREAS SERVICED BY DEPOT 1 DURING THE MONTH OF MAY 2019
The Municipality would like to apologise to all residents for the inconvenience caused by the interrupted services last month.
Almost all Depot 1 Supervisors took sick leave from 20 to 24 May which lead to the interruption of services. When they reported for duty from the 27th of May it is alleged that they did not spend all eight hours a day to dispose of the backlog . It is also alleged that residents had the same experience during the time the Municipality had a full capacity of personnel on the ground.
Municipal Manager Max Mbili has placed two managers and other employee on precautionary suspension while the matter is being investigated. Mr Patrick Sithole ( contact details 039 6882151 ) and Patrick. Sithole@rnm.hov.za will manage the Depot while Mr Gary Mangoes ( contact details 039 688 2151 ) Gary.email@example.com will manage the refuse and street cleaning section pending the outcome of the investigation.
